“BRAZILIAN NIGHTS” AT BRITTO CENTRAL BENEFITS REGIS HOUSE MIAMI, Fla. – October 11th, 2005 – An inaugural event titled “Brazilian Nights” sponsored by renowned artist Romero Britto’s BRITTO CENTRAL celebrated a night of Brazilian culture and benefited the programs of Regis House on Friday evening October 7th. Attendees celebrated a night of Brazilian culture with live Samba Dancers, Brazilian jazz music, a special video on Brazil and the popular works from artist Romero Britto at his famed BRITTO CENTRAL gallery. Guests enjoyed Caipirinhas, a typical Brazilian liquor drink, tastes of Brazilian foods and a silent auction. The evening was designed to celebrate Brazilian culture and raise funds for the valuable services Regis House provides. “Brazilian Nights was developed through an alliance with Britto Central to build awareness and rally support for our programs which are offered to this community’s highest need youth, adults and families,” said Jackie Knowles, Executive Director of Regis House. “We are eagerly anticipating the 2nd Annual Brazilian Nights which will take place in 2006.” Romero Britto released a signed special print of his work “Dancers” as part of the night’s silent auction to raise funds for Regis House. Special guests included WPLG-TV Channel 10’s Laurie Jennings and Matt Lorch, Miami Beach Vice Mayor Luis Garcia Jr., the Deputy Consul General of Brazil Luiz Filipe Mendonça Filho and evening host Romero Britto.
