Jarden Consumer Solutions Donates $35,000 Grant to Regis House, Inc.

Grant will increase after-school program slots for elementary youth in Miami

 

MIAMI, FLA. – February 24, 2009 – Regis House, Inc. Miami-Dade’s premier agency for Substance Abuse, Mental Health, and Family Support Services, accepted a $35,000 grant from the Jarden Consumer Solutions (JCS) Community Fund. The grant will assist Regis House, Inc. in continuing its mission of providing and expanding After School Programming to elementary aged youngsters throughout Miami-Dade County.

 The grant will be put to direct and immediate use for the children of Regis House, Inc.’s Citrus Grove Elementary After School Youth Program.  Regis House, Inc.’s Children Programs provide structured activities to more than 190 elementary youth throughout Miami-Dade County daily. Through Regis House, Inc.’s comprehensive programs, youth build resiliency skills, which help them prevent substance abuse, school failure, and delinquency.
